Celebrity Behind the Mask: Duff Goldman

To kick off the premiere, Team Cuddly sent out Thingamabob, who performed Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive." Next, Team Good's McTerrier took the stage to play their rendition of Loverboy's "Working for the Weekend" by playing the drums. He rocked out so hard that at the end of the performance, McTerrier's costume head fell off! The judges quickly turned around to avoid identifying McTerrier, and the crew swiftly helped the star put the head back on.

Cyclops from Team Bad followed up the shocking moment by belting "My Sacrifice" by Creed. Firefly continued the evening for Team Good with a slowed-down version of Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody" — but then they started choking and had to be ushered off stage. Ram jumped on in the meantime to perform "I Want You to Want Me" by Cheap Trick.

At the end of the eventful night, the panel and studio audience voted for their favorite performance and host Cannon revealed that McTerrier received the least votes. Pastry chef and Food Network star Duff Goldman turned out to be under the furry white getup.

"I was just really worried that I let everybody down," Goldman told PEOPLE, when asked how he felt when his costume head fell off. "I didn't want to ruin the show. "

Despite the hiccup, Goldman said he loves music and added that if he was asked back on the show, he "would do it again in a heartbeat."

"I was doing 'Dream a Little Dream' and they turned the whole stage into a night sky full of stars. That was supposed to be my opening number, but they switched it out that morning," Brinkley reveals. "I was really surprised to suddenly be doing a different song but, that's pretty common in showbiz. You got to be ready for anything."

As for being the first to go home, Brinkely was disappointed though not surprised. "I knew halfway down the runway when I couldn't see anything and I couldn't breathe that that was most likely going to be the scenario," she told PEOPLE.

Celebrity Behind the Mask: Rudy Giuliani

This week's unmasking left some of the judges speechless. After a string of great performances, the votes came in and it was Jack in the Box who had to unmask. When Jack in the Box removed their mask, former New York City major and President Donald Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who was suspended from practicing law in New York last year after a court found he made "demonstrably false" statements about Trump's 2020 election loss, appeared.

"This is definitely something I never would have guessed," Robin Thicke said.

While Jenny McCarthy said she "had no idea" about Giuliani's identity, Ken Jeong stood stone-faced with his arms folded.

"With all of the controversy that's surrounding you right now, I think it surprises us all that you're here on The Masked Singer," host Nick Cannon told 77-year-old Giuliani, the subject of an ongoing federal investigation for his involvement with Ukraine.

Cannon then asked Giuliani why he came on the show.

"I guess the main reason is, I just had a granddaughter, Grace, and I want her to know that you should try everything, even things that are completely unlike you and unlikely," Giuliani said. "And I couldn't think of anything more unlike me and unlikely than this. And I enjoy the show. I have for years. And it just seemed like it'd be fun. I don't get to have a lot of fun."

McCarthy jumped up and down as Giuliani performed unmasked but Jeong walked off, saying, "I'm done." Scherzinger and McCarthy stayed at the judges' panel and danced.

This week had Prince, Baby Mammoth, Space Bunny and Queen Cobra fighting to be the last performer standing in the competition. Queen Cobra got the night going with their version of Aretha Franklin's "I Say a Little Prayer." Team Cuddly's Space Bunny went next and covered Lionel Richie's "All Night Long (All Night)," followed by Baby Mammoth, who sang "The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in His Kiss)" by Cher. The Mammoth also shared a short original song she wrote, which basically consisted of repeating the words "Baby Mammoth" in a bouncy cadence, before Prince finished off for Team Good with an emotional cover of Sam Smith's "Lay Me Down."

In the end, Baby Mammoth and Space Bunny received the least votes and had to battle it out again. The judges voted for Space Bunny, which meant Baby Mammoth was going home. Underneath the mask was actress Kirstie Alley.

The audience and judges sang along to Alley's "Baby Mammoth" tune before she performed unmasked.

The next act to go home was Queen Cobra. Judge Nicole Scherzinger's suggestion of En Vogue ultimately turned out to be correct, as Rhona Bennett, Terry Ellis and Cindy Herron all turned up on stage when their masks came off.

With the final unmasking, that meant The Prince advanced to the finale.

"I'm so proud of myself," the amphibian said. "I'm so excited. I did what I came to do and that is show my heart and just be in this incredible experience with incredible artists."
