The University of Georgia is reportedly believed to be a potential landing spot for quarterback Jaden Rashada after he decided to enter the transfer portal.

According to Chris Hummer and Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, sources have indicated that Georgia is "a school to watch" when it comes to Rashada.

Rashada's agent, Henry Organ of Disruptive Sports, told ESPN's Adam Rittenberg on Thursday that his client was entering the transfer portal after playing at Arizona State as a freshman in 2023.

Last season, Rashada opened the year as ASU's starter, but a knee injury limited him to just four games, and he finished with 485 passing yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions.

Rashada was rated as a 4-star prospect, as well as the No. 44 overall recruit and No. 6 quarterback in his recruiting class by 247Sports.

The 6'4", 185-pound signal-caller had originally committed to play at Florida, but he de-committed and went to Arizona State after a name, image and likeness (NIL) deal fell through.

While Rashada won Arizona State's starting job as a freshman, he would begin as a backup at Georgia if he were to join the Bulldogs.

Carson Beck is set to return as UGA's starting quarterback in 2024 after throwing for 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns and six interceptions last season. Early indications are that he could be a Heisman Trophy candidate.

Given that Rashada still has four years of eligibility remaining, sitting and learning for a year behind one of the best quarterbacks in college football would be a quality situation for him.

Also, when the time comes for him to take the reins as the starter, he would be doing so at an elite program in Georgia that is stocked with top-flight talent and has gone 42-2 with two national championships over the past three campaigns.

As for Arizona State, it is coming off back-to-back 3-9 seasons and has played in a bowl game only once in the past four seasons.

The 2023 campaign was the first under head coach Kenny Dillingham following the firing of Herm Edwards early in 2022.

With Rashada getting injured, the Sun Devils struggled throughout 2023 to find a starting quarterback, cycling through Trenton Bourguet, Drew Pyne and Jacob Conover. As a team, ASU threw just eight touchdown passes compared to 14 interceptions.

The favorite to start for Arizona State in 2024 may be Michigan State transfer Sam Leavitt, who was a 4-star prospect and the No. 18 quarterback in the 2023 recruiting class, per 247Sports.
