What are you going to be looking for when the Detroit Lions’ 2024 schedule is released?

Now that the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit is finally in the rearview mirror, the next big item on the NFL’s offseason docket is the annual schedule release.

Over the last several years, the schedule being released has become more and more of a show. Back in the day, there wasn’t much fanfare surrounding it. It would more or less just get released on the team’s website, and people would move on with their day.

However, with the steam that the NFL has picked up in the last decade-plus, that is no longer the case. Social media and production teams put in really long hours in order to make their own schedule release fun, unique, and memorable.

Last year the Detroit Lions used Madden as well as AI voices of coach Dan Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes to release their 2023 schedule. The Los Angeles Chargers adopted an anime theme—you get the idea. It’s a big deal now.

Today’s Question of the Day is:

What do you want to see when the Lions’ 2024 schedule drops?

My Answer: I’m not creative enough to come up with something as awesome as Campbell and Holmes playing Madden, but I certainly wouldn’t mind more AI voices being used. Maybe quick clips for each city the Lions are going to visit and what Campbell and Holmes would eat while in trying to add a win to the Lions’ win column.

Whatever it is, I trust the Lions production team to get it right. After all, they did win five Michigan Emmys in 2023 for a reason.
