Ty Lue speaks about Kyrie Irving’s impact. I’m more interested in the container full of cookies and note next to him, I believe left by Jason Kidd. It’s his 47th birthday. pic.twitter.com/5vyTJqJBkR8:04 PM

The move for Ty Lue is to re-up with the Clippers and tie the length of his contract to when the expansion teams start, and then LeBron can hire him for the Vegas team he’s going to own. – 3:18 PM

How realistic is it that Ty Lue could be the next coach of the Lakers? @wojespn reports on NBA Today: pic.twitter.com/70gtJacoNZ3:15 PM

Ryan Ward @RyanWardLA
Somehow landing Ty Lue would be home run for the Lakers. I can’t see it happening, considering his situation, but you never know.
JJ Redick makes no sense to me. Another first-timer and someone with zero coaching experience? Where’s the logic there? – 3:03 PM
Chris Mannix @SIChrisMannix
I can’t fathom why the Clippers would let Ty Lue go to the Lakers. Lue, regardless of how this season ends, is considered an elite head coach. With a year left on his contract, no less. There’s absolutely no reason for the Clips to do the Lakers any favors. – 2:51 PM
Evan Sidery @esidery
Mike Budenholzer, Kenny Atkinson, JJ Redick and Ty Lue, if he becomes available, are viewed as the Lakers’ top head coaching candidates, per @ShamsCharania (theathletic.com/5460754/2024/0…). pic.twitter.com/Y7HP0T3phQ2:40 PM

End of James availability
How it starts and ends with James and PG as leaders… how he knows what Dallas wants to do to make him uncomfortable and how it is about what he does more than what they do, and Tyronn Lue being even keeled and rest of team is as well.

More on this storyline

Ohm Youngmisuk: Asked if there’s been any consideration of making any changes to rotation in regards to Russell Westbrook’s offensive struggles, Ty Lue said no. When asked if he has considered changes to the starting lineup, Lue said yes. -via Twitter @NotoriousOHM / May 3, 2024
Jovan Buha: If Ty Lue is let go by the Clippers I’ve been told that the Lakers will have interest in Ty Lue. They courted him in 2019 it did not go well, they ended up settling on Frank Vogel, who was their third choice behind Ty Lue and Monty Williams. It ended up working out they won a championship in their first season with Vogel but then he got fired a couple years later. Ty Lue the next season ended up taking the Clippers job after Doc Rivers was fired and Clippers have gone on to the Western Conference Finals once and we’ll see what ultimately happens with them against Dallas. -via YouTube / May 3, 2024
