Boxing star Jermall Charlo was arrested Monday night in Texas after police said he crashed his Lamborghini Urus into another vehicle while intoxicated and fled the scene following a verbal altercation, per TMZ Sports.

He was charged with misdemeanor counts of DWI with a BAC of greater than 0.15, fleeing a police officer and leaving the scene of a crash involving $200 of damage or more.

According to that report, Police said Charlo ignored their sirens when they attempted to pull him over "until he was boxed in by cops at a red light roughly a mile away from the accident area." He was then arrested and showed signs of intoxication when administered a sobriety test in jail.

His lawyer, Kent Schaffer said that Charlo wasn't using drugs.

"Jermall has been in training," he noted. "He has not been using any type of drugs."

Charlo, 33, is a perfect 33-0 and has held both the IBF and WBC middleweight titles in his career. He last defeated José Benavidez Jr. by unanimous decision in November. He defended his WBC middleweight belt five times, though Carlos Adames currently is the WBC interim middleweight champion.

His twin brother, Jermell Charlo, is also a boxing star, with a 35-2-1 record in his career. He last lost to Canelo Álvarez by unanimous decision in September.
