Six Gators Earn IWLCA All-Region, Five Earn Inside Lacrosse All-American

Kaitlyn Davies, Elyse Finnelle, Maggi Hall, Liz Harrison, Emily Heller and Danielle Pavinelli all received recognition for their play this season.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida lacrosse team had six players named IWLCA All-Region, and five named Inside Lacrosse All-Americans, announced Thursday afternoon.

Elyse Finnelle, Maggi Hall, Liz Harrison, Emily Heller and Danielle Pavinelli were all selected to the IWLCA South Region First Team, paired with Kaitlyn Davies who earned south region second team honors.  Harrison was also named Inside Lacrosse Second Team All-American, along with Finnelle and Hall chosen to the third team, concluded by Pavinelli and Heller conquering honorable mention accolades.

Davies collects her first all-region honor in just her second season in Gainesville. The sophomore has one goal, 15 draw controls, 12 ground balls and six caused turnovers in 21 games this season. The Wayne, N.J., native has helped anchor a defense that ranks fourth in the country in goals allowed per game at 8.23 and has held opponents to a .342 shooting percentage.

Finnelle was named USA Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention just over a week ago. The redshirt-sophomore has a 9-2 record this season, recording a total of 148 saves in 21 appearances and 12 starts. Finnelle has seven games with double-digit saves this season, and ranks third nationally with a .540 save percentage. Her 30 saves over the last three games are tied for the most saves by a Gator goalkeeper in a single NCAA Tournament (Sarah Reznick, 2023).

Hall has had a record setting season, totaling 60 goals and 54 assists in 22 games this season. The senior's totals of 114 points and 54 assists are program records for the most in a season inside those categories. The Bel Air, Md., native tied a career high with six goals in the quarterfinals against Maryland, and has recorded a hat-trick in seven of the last nine games. She has 13 games this season with five or more points.

Harrison has been a draw specialist for the Gators, winning a program record 228 draw controls this season. She ranks third in the country averaging 10.36 draw controls per game and has recorded 10 or more draw controls in 13 games. The senior most recently helped the Gators win the draw battle 19-6 in their second-round victory over Virginia, as Harrison controlled 11 draw controls.

Heller has been all over for UF this season. She has a career best 46 goals, along with seven assists, 43 draw controls, 25 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. The fifth-year senior was a 2024 Tewaaraton Top-25 nominee. Heller has recorded two or more goals in four of her last five games, including a hat-trick last week against North Carolina in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Pavinelli has totaled a point in 21 of 22 games this season. The senior has totaled 53 goals and 39 assists, good for second on the team in both categories. The Northport, N.Y., native is tied for the team high in hat-tricks with 10, including a four-goal performance last Sunday in the second round against Virginia. She is one of five players in program history to score 200 or more career goals and currently sits at 297 career points.
