Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are finally set to meet in the ring with everything on the line. One man will walk away as the undisputed champion of the heavyweight division in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Fury, the WBC heavyweight champion, has managed to retain a 34-0-1 record despite some inconsistencies throughout his career. He was floored by MMA star Francis Ngannou in a fight back in October, but also holds wins over Wladimir Klitschko, Deontay Wilder (twice) and Derek Chisora (twice).

Usyk has built up quite the repuation for himself as a heavyweight champion. His 21-0 mark includes back-to-back wins over Anthony Joshua.

It's a battle of formidable heavyweights and the odds indicate a matchup that's going to produce an instant classic. Here's a closer look at the bout.

Preview

It doesn't get much bigger than this. The winner of the bout will be the first undisputed champion in the heavyweight division since the dawn of the four-belt era.

While both men have yet to suffer a loss in their career, both have come close. Fury was in legitimate trouble against Ngannou in his last outing and Wilder fought him to a draw in their first fight.

But you can't acknowledge Fury's less-than-stellar performance without also noting the brilliant ones. His back-to-back knockouts of Wilder were spectacular and just an example of what he looks like when he's at his most prepared.

Fury's preparation is always a hot topic and the weigh-in was particularly encouraging for those worried about whether Fury is ready. He came in at 262 pounds after weighing in 277.5 for his fight against Ngannou.

The size difference with Usyk is notable.

Fury's 6'9" frame gives him an advantage whether or not he sheds pounds before his fight. He's adept at using his length but also knows how to lean on opponents and utilize the clinch to wear them down.

That could come into play against the 6'3" Usyk who weighed in at a career-high 233.5 pounds.

Will the added weight give him additional strength to withstand Fury's use of his weight to wear down his opponent?

That's a key element of the fight to watch. Usyk should be the faster man, but the former cruiserweight's power hasn't necessarily carried over to the heavyweight division. He has just one knockout win since making the transition to the land of the giants.

Prediction

When Fury doesn't show up prepared, he's been put on the canvas by some of the best power punchers he has facen. Despite his unbeaten record, he has shown that he is beatable because of his inconsistency and some defensive lapses.

The problem is that power isn't Usyk's strength at heavyweight. The southpaw is going to be a tricky target for Fury. He'll give him some problems, create some highlights and even win some rounds.

But Fury's performance on the scale is a good omen that he has a special performance brewing for Usyk.

We'll see Saturday afternoon, but it feels like Fury is going to walk away as the undisputed champion.
