Taylor Swift’s focus at the moment is her new album The Tortured Poets Department. As that set earns a third week atop the Billboard 200, fans are listening to more than just her latest project. Most of the full-lengths in the singer’s catalog are performing well, with two reaching a special milestone–coincidentally, at the same time.
Both Folklore and Evermore have now lived on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart for 100 weeks. The two titles reach that notable number simultaneously, even though they weren’t released at the same time.
The Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart ranks the most-consumed full-lengths and EPs in the U.S. each week. The Billboard ranking takes into account sales and streams to show which titles that fit those genres are the most popular in the nation.
This week, Folklore is the higher-ranking of the two. It dips two spaces to settle at No. 10. Three efforts surge to pass her, including Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours (No. 7), Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits (No. 8), and Elton John’s Diamonds (No. 9).
A bit further down on the 50-spot tally, Evermore is rising. That set improves from No. 20 to No. 19 as it celebrates 100 weeks on the ranking.
Folklore and Evermore are two of Swift’s three projects that have appeared on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums tally. Only one other effort, Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, has also spent time on the roster.
Of the two, Folklore is the more successful. It debuted on the tally in June 2022 and climbed to the summit nearly a year later. The set has now racked up eight frames at No. 1.
Evermore, on the other hand, has never had a chance to rule the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart. In the past, it’s risen as high as No. 3. That’s a bit surprising, as even Folklore: The Long Pond Sessions took a turn at No. 1.
Folklore and Evermore are tied as Swift’s longest-charting titles on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums list. Folklore: The Long Pond Sessions only managed one stint on the chart, as it was only available for a limited time, and after earning a lofty debut, it quickly disappeared.
