Public intoxication, minor in possession of alcohol: At 9:51 a.m., deputies responded to a call from officials at Saratoga High School on Herriman Avenue about an intoxicated student. An investigation revealed the student was under the influence and in possession of alcohol. The suspect was medically evaluated, cited and then released to a parent.

May 8

Check fraud: A Saratoga resident reported that someone cashed four checks forged with their bank account information for a total loss of about $8,780.

May 9

Check fraud: A Saratoga resident reported that someone attempted to cash two checks forged with their bank account information for the amount of about $72,325, but was unsuccessful.

May 10

Identity theft: A Saratoga resident reported that someone used their personal information to access their government benefits account and withdrew approximately $3,500.

May 12

Residential burglary: Between 3 p.m. on May 10 and 3:26 p.m. on May 12, someone entered a residence in the 15000 block of Pepper Lane by breaking a glass door. Nothing was reported stolen.

Attempted commercial burglary: Between 6:35 p.m. on May 11 and 8:05 a.m. on May 12, someone attempted to enter Wheel Works on Prospect Road by breaking a window and prying a door, but was unsuccessful and did not gain access.

Assault with a deadly weapon: At 1:36 p.m., deputies responded to a reckless driving call at Fruitvale Avenue and Montauk Drive. An investigation revealed the motorist swerved into the victim’s vehicle, forcing them off the roadway. The suspect was located a short time later and arrested.
