Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers has sold his longtime, off-season home in Del Mar, near San Diego, for $5.13 million, according to the New York Post.
The sale was made during the regular NFL season at the end of November, according to public records. Rodgers purchased the property in 2009 for $2.055 million.
The 5,770-square-foot Mediterranean-style home has five bedrooms and five bathrooms. It has been completely renovated with a movie theater, wine cellar and game room, among many other amenities. It also boasts a resort-style pool and spa with a large patio and firepit.
Lauren Fields with Berkshire Hathaway HomeService was the listing agent.
Rodgers, a three-time NFL MVP, is a native of Chico who played college football at UC Berkeley. He currently has one year left on his contract with the Packers but has hinted that he may be moving on from the team.
