1. Bass of the Week: Sitar Bass “Mountain”
Today we’re featuring an instrument the likes of which I’ve never seen before. Invented by Miles Schelling, the Sitar Bass fuses elements of the traditional Indian instrument with a bass.

A new mobile app called GuitarApp has recently launched, and it’s not just for guitarists. The handy tool combines curated YouTube playlists and lessons as well as a tuner, chord charts, a metronome, and a drum machine into one application.
4. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Announces 2022 Inductees
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has revealed its 2022 class of inductees, which spans several genres but all influence rock and roll. This year’s inductees add two more bassists to the list: Duran Duran’s John Taylor and Judas Priest’s Ian Hill.
5. In Memoriam: Howie Pyro
D-Generation and Danzig bassist Howie Pyro, aka Howard Kusten, has died following complications from COVID-19. He was 61 years old. The news was shared by his bandmate Jesse Malin on Instagram.
