GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sunday evening the Florida softball program received a No.14-seed in the NCAA Division I Softball Tournament and will host Wisconsin, Georgia Tech and Canisius May 20-22, in the NCAA Gainesville Regional that will be held at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
UF (43-16) will open regional play against Canisius (32-16) Friday at 4:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
The Gators enter NCAA Tournament action after going 2-1 at the 2022 SEC Tournament that was held at KSP Stadium for the first time since 2005.
The winner of the Gainesville Regional will face the winner out of the Blacksburg Regional that consists of No.3 Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Miami (OH) and Saint Francis (PA) from May 20-22.

Gators in the NCAA Tournament
- The Gators have hosted an NCAA Regional for 17-consecutive seasons, which is every season since 2005.
- The Orange & Blue have hosted a regional every year under head coach Tim Walton.
- Florida holds a 47-19 (.712) record during NCAA Regional Play and a 42-7 record under head coach Tim Walton.
- Overall, UF is 94-47 in the NCAA Tournament, which includes a 21-10 record in the Super Regional round and 26-18 record at the Women's College World Series.
- This is the 1st time that the Gators have been selected as the No.14 national seed in the NCAA Tournament.

2022 Gators Softball season ticket holders can reclaim their 2022 season seats beginning now through 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 17.
General Public can order All-Session Regional Passes - no guarantee reserved seats will be available Wednesday, May 18 at 9 a.m. (ET) and Single Game tickets beginning Thursday, May 19, at 9 a.m. (ET).
