GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Track and Field programs are once again ranked inside the top-5 of the Outdoor Ratings Index, as announced by the USTFCCCA on Monday afternoon.

The Gators sit No. 2 (Women) and No. 4 (Men) nationally. The women have been ranked in the top-five of every poll this season while the men remain in the top-five for a seventh-consecutive week.

Florida has already completed the first piece of the puzzle in its postseason journey this year.

The Gators won the 2022 SEC Women's Outdoor Championship this past weekend, picking up 107 points across the three days and capturing the seventh conference outdoor crown for the women's program.

The men were fourth after accumulating 78 points including three event titles in the 4x100 relay, 4x400 relay and 400 meters.
Â
Florida won seven gold medals in total at the SEC Outdoor Championships this past weekend.

Jasmine Moore swept the horizontal jumps once again, becoming the third woman in SEC history to go 4-for-4 on conference titles in the Long Jump and Triple Jump in the same calendar year.

Sterling Lester dominated the Heptathlon this past weekend, winning gold and her first conference title of her career.

Imogen Barrett captured gold in the 800 meters with an outstanding kick in the final 150 meters to post a time of 2:01.42 and win her second SEC title (first in the 800m).

The Gators swept the 4x100 and 4x400 relays on the men's side while
Champion Allison (44.74) won gold in the 400 meters to complete the conference sweep in the event this year.

Florida will now turn its attention to next week's NCAA East Preliminaries, the qualifying meet to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in June.

48 athletes in each event will head to both the NCAA East and West Prelims. The top-12 at those meets will meet in Eugene for a field of 24 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

There will be 24 teams in both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays at the respective preliminary meet with the top-12 in each region also advancing.

The Heptathlon and Decathlon are not contested at the preliminary level which means
Anna Hall (No. 1 NCAA, 6458) and
Sterling Lester (No. 12 NCAA, 5749) have each punched their ticket to the NCAA Outdoor Championships, pending official declaration by Florida.

 Official entries to next week's NCAA East Preliminaries are expected to be announced this week.
