JAIPUR: Acting on complaints of a paper leak during the second shift of constable recruitment exam on Saturday, the DGP on Monday ordered to hold it again. It has been alleged that at a Jhotwara centre, the paper was opened before time. According to sources, DGP ML Lather ordered for the re-conduct of the exam that had taken place in the second shift on May 14 (Saturday).

“Nearly 2.75 lakh candidates had appeared for this exam and it was found that the centre superintendent of Diwakar Public school had opened the paper much before. An action would also be taken against the centre director,” said a senior officer of Rajasthan Police headquarters.
Constable recruitment exam was conducted from May 13 to May 16 in which 11,53,000 candidates appeared for 4,388 posts. “The attendance of the candidates remained nearly 61.25 per cent,” said an officer.
Sources added that the SOG wing of Rajasthan police too have registered a case in this connection.
Huge rush on Day 2 of cop exam
The second day of the constable recruitment exam witnessed huge crowd in several areas of Jaipur including Tonk Road, which led to severe traffic snarls.
Rajasthan Police said that 55% to 60% of students appeared in two shifts of the exam on Saturday.
Police said that a total of 3 lakh students appeared for the exam in the state on Saturday, which began on Friday and will continue till May 16.
Police said that an estimated 19 lakh students were expected to write the constable recruitment exam at 470 designated centres across the state amid increased vigilance.
