Frozen Fenway Announces Outdoor College Hockey Games

For the first time since 2017, outdoor college hockey will return to venerable Fenway Park. With the Boston Bruins hosting this year’s NHL Winter Classic at Fenway, it made sense to also include some college hockey games as well. This will be the fifth time Fenway has hosted college hockey games as part of their Frozen Fenway series.

Now, the schedule for the 2023 event has (mostly) been announced.

Starting things off will be a women’s double header featuring Boston University taking on Holy Cross, followed by a second game with opponents still to be announced. Date and time are still unofficial for the women’s doubleheader, although rumblings are that the games will take place Friday January 6th, with times still to be determined.

On January 7th, the men will play a doubleheader, with preseason league favorite Northeastern facing off against UConn at 2:30pm followed by UMass facing Boston College at 6pm.
