Keep It Groovy: How To Play An Easy Slow Blues In C

In this lesson, we’ll keep it groovy with a nice slow blues in the key of C. We’ll focus on a specific pattern built around a major triad with the addition of a 6th. This is an incredibly common bass pattern for a slow blues and can even be sped up and adapted to a blues shuffle!

We’ll be playing around the middle of the neck, starting on the 8th fret so that we don’t have to do much shifting to navigate our 1, 4, and 5 chords.

Enjoy this lesson, and get ready to shed this before going to a blues jam!
