Calling all maximalists! The former Palm Springs home of glamorous socialite and actor siblings Zsa Zsa Gabor (who is also one of Paris Hilton’s great-grandmothers) and Magda Gabor, has just hit the market.

As told to Mansion Global, local interior designer Tracy Turco and her husband bought the historic three-bedroom, five-bathroom home in 2020 for $1.74 million. After a glitzy makeover, the couple is now offering it to a new owner for $3.8 million.

Built in 1964, the single-story midcentury house is set on a terraced hill in the middle of a lot measuring just over half an acre and provides spectacular views of majestic mountains on one end and glittering city lights at night on the other. According to co-listing agent Conrad Miller of Avenue 8, Magda’s fourth husband, Arthur “Tony” Gallucci, built the house for her. Zsa Zsa occupied the home for a short time after Magda’s death in 1997.

Mirrored walls abound throughout the dwelling.

“When we found out the Gabor estate was for sale—totally glamor—I wanted it before I had even seen it,” Ms. Turco told Mansion Globalin an email. “Hollywood-Regency style is my aesthetic!”

Turco was definitely able to add to the glamor of the almost 3,500-square-foot home while keeping its historic integrity. The facade is now a bright shade of pink and many of the rooms, including the primary suite and some of the bathrooms, are plastered with her wallpaper designs. But, large, original exterior glass walls and windows still allow light and the stunning natural surrounding desert to bounce off of mirrored interior walls that were installed by the Gabors. Original chandeliers and stone floors, some of the Gabors’ furniture, and even a picture of Magda, remain as part of the decor.

The Gabor sisters, including one other, Eva, moved to the United States from Hungary to escape World War II. They were successful actors known not only as glamorous socialites, but also for their many marriages. Magda was married six times, Zsa Zsa nine times, and Eva five times.
