After Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s lavish nuptials last summer, it was reported that the couple and their new family would be moving into the Bel Air mansion Jennifer Lopez bought from actor Sela Ward and husband Howard Sherman for $28 million in 2016. They reportedly planned on extensively remodeling, but it appears their plans have changed. According to a new report by the Wall Street Journal, Lopez has put the French-style abode on the market for $42.5 million.
The eight-acre property is a virtual adult playground with its own lake with a sandy beach, a waterfall, a putting green, a 100-seat outdoor amphitheater, a pagoda with a fire pit, another outdoor seating area with a fire pit, acres of forest with hiking trails and landscaped trees near the main house and guest cottages (yes, two), a gym, and perhaps the sexiest above-ground pool ever built.

According to the listing, there are as many places to play inside the 14,000-square-foot main house as there are on the estate grounds. Once past the facade made of light stone, the seven-bedroom manse features several bars, a game room, a thirty-seat screening room, a formal dining room, a large eating nook, several luxe areas to lounge, and fireplaces everywhere. High ceilings abound, bringing grandeur to rooms like the sky-lit chef’s kitchen adorned with stone walls and reclaimed wood, and the living room with wood-beamed ceilings. All rooms spill out onto terraces.
Right after last summer’s wedding, Affleck listed and sold his Pacific Palisades home for $28 million dollars after it was reported that the plan was to move into Lopez’s Bel Air mansion. The couple have been renting a mansion belonging to James Packer while the renovations were supposedly taking place. No word yet on what the couple’s next real estate move will be.
