Full Moons are a time for releasing and relinquishing. If you have an excess in your life, this is the time for it to go down the drain. Through silent meditation, exchanging of thoughts, or spiritual practice, Full Moons are a point when we can let go. Following Western astrology, these Full Moon guides are monthly reminders to set and review your intentions–your horoscope is a rudimentary prompt for self-reflection.

When you really think about it, humans have been around for so little time. The Earth has existed for 4.54 billion years, while humans have only been around for roughly 300,000 years. We're babies compared to the goblin shark, which is estimated to be a species that is at least 118 million years old, or the tadpole shrimp, which has been around for about 220 million years.

On February 5, 2023, at 1:27 PM EST, the Full Moon in the Leo will stare at the Sun in Aquarius. With the Sun in Aquarius, our purpose is to sort through what may be perceived as a complex and humbling feeling: Aquarius is associated with the Greek God Kronos, the father of time. Right now, we are simultaneously learning how young we are as we grow old. If that hurts, then you’re not alone. With age, we can increase our desire for more time, attempt to repair what we unknowingly damaged, and accept that we are doing our best.

Standing at the oppositional points, the Moon in Leo may represent your sincere wish to deny and deflect from difficult memories, while the Sun will remind you that what you block does not disappear. Instead, it takes form and adds color to the tapestry of human existence. How do you proceed through life knowing that ignoring, hiding, and running from the issues that surround you is a detriment to healing?

Read your horoscopes based on your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs. Read for your Sun sign to gain insight based on the version of yourself that you’re maturing into, your Rising sign to reflect on your present state, and your Moon sign for guidance on caring for your inner child.

Your horoscope for the Full Moon in Leo:

Aries

How do your creations inform the world around you? As you bring your ideas and beliefs under the Sun, take time to consider the influence you have. Being well-known has its cost. You are not responsible for all the issues, nor can you control if someone takes your art out of context. Trust and believe that people are paying attention, and plan ahead.

Taurus

Anger can lead you to self-destruction. Through compassion for yourself and granting ourselves grace, you can begin to make friends with your feelings. Anger serves the purpose of recognizing threats. Instead of shutting out the world around you, courage and bravery can create connections through healthy conversations. Set the standard.

Gemini

Love, words that spill out your mouth can not be spoken. At best, maybe the listener did not hear you. At worst, they heard exactly what you said or misunderstood you—hanging onto how they perceived the inflection of your words. This Full Moon, be mindful of how you express yourself. Sometimes when you have nothing kind to say, silence is a beautiful expression.

Cancer

What a great time to identify your core beliefs, Cancer. It's only human for you to have ideas of how the world should be. When your views conflict with the belief systems of those around you, that could leave a bitter taste in your mouth. Feelings of violation and betrayal and difficulty trusting may cause you to compensate with material items. Take time to recognize the sentiment you’ve attached to a particular bag, dress, or toy.

Leo

You might have all the best intentions, and this Full Moon might help you recognize how you may need to detach from your anger. The world will introduce you to opportunities to be disappointed in people. Whether you like it or not, that is likely a universal norm. We are all human, and accepting that is the first step to forgiveness. Change is a slow process, as is growth and transformation. How much compassion would you feel if you received reality as it is?

Virgo

Living in self-obsession serves who, exactly? It doesn't fit you, Virgo. The fall from delusion is a harsh one. Basing yourself on the reality of your current state allows more room for observation, planning, and proper execution. Mind the thoughts that cross your mind with consideration of their purpose. What necessity do you need? What is it you and those around you are lacking? Identifying your needs is the first step to filling them. Do the work.

Libra

Libra… take a note from Virgo’s book and spend more time on yourself. Have you dedicated enough time to your creative projects, or have you thrown yourself into filling the needs of those around you? Robbing them of their ability to take accountability for their actions, possibly over-asserting themselves when the Full Moon calls for you to focus on them. Your willingness to show love to others is remarkable. Why not try being the model for (self) love instead of the servant?

Scorpio

Be a hypocrite. Becoming exactly what you dislike is a great idea. Like, for real. Be judgmental, scared, and bitter. Become a bully! If you haven't realized, I’m being sarcastic. When pain occurs, it is like poison in our bloodstream, consuming us and making wickedness seem appetizing. Eventually, with enough time, it can leave us feeling unrecognizable. Fear works in mysterious ways. When frustration feels all-consuming, keep in mind what makes you feel small is acting out of hate. Your ability to show love is an unpredictable method of nourishing your soul.

Sagittarius

How you express yourself may prove more potent than the words you say, Sagittarius. In a world where the intention is often lost over text, find ways of bringing humanity into your conversations. You might not share your ideas clearly through pixels, words, and faceless conversations. If possible, try to immerse all of your senses when communicating with others, responsibly and within reason.

Capricorn

Chill out is an understatement, Capricorn. What do you do when you recognize you aren’t winning? Are you a sore loser? Do you shut down? Are you willing to try again? Loss is a necessary part of the process, and it’s understandable if you have moments when you want to quit the game. Remember that the sensation of earning your wins can not be brought. It must be made. Framing loss as a step in the right direction may aid your motivation.

Aquarius

Are you thirsty, Aquarius? When you pour into others like an endless stream, you are forced to recognize that you are the water-bearer and not the water. Water has no boundaries. It is a chemical compound. It exists as a bridge or a destructor. Rememver that you are human. When you extend yourself without boundaries, you dissolve your emotional capacity, possibly drowning the potential for learning and growth. This Full Moon is an excellent time to pour into your cup, and your cup only.

Pisces

Pisces love, cleaning, cooking, and serving others may satisfy your emotions. Slowing down and tuning in is how you please your soul. This Full Moon calls for you to do the difficult and inescapable act of confronting yourself. You are calling attention to unmet needs when you grant yourself self-reflection. Your maladaptive patterns and making friends with your demons. They live with you because, like you, they are doing their best to survive. We all have a story. Your ability to recognize your narrative is the first step to writing your future.
