Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade Returns After 20 Years

Les Claypool

Les Claypool shared some exciting news with the return of one of his projects. After 20 years, Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade is back and will be touring the United States this spring and summer during the “Summer of Green” tour.

The band’s lineup for the excursion will include SSean Lennon on guitar, Harry Waters on keys, Paolo Baldi on drums, Skerik on saxophone, and Mike Dillon on percussion. Together they’ll be presenting a full performance of Pink Floyd’s masterpiece album Animals each night of the run.

“In an age of calibrated chaos, moral constipation, and conspiranoia, it is reassuring to know that certain frogs can and do fly,” says Claypool.

The “Summer of Green” tour will begin in Stateline, Nevada, on May 17th and run through the Western states before heading east. Several festivals are on the itinerary, including Peach Music Festival, Summer Camp Music Festival, and Mountain Music Festival. The band’s final date is slated for July 15th in Phoenix, Arizona.

The FFFB will have support from some great artists, including Jerry Harrison & Adrian Belew’s Remain in Light (with Julie Slick), Fishbone (with Norwood Fisher), Neal Francis, Budos Band (with Daniel Foder), W.I.T.C.H., and Moon Duo.

The project is a chance for Claypool to try out different things, including the Whamola.
