Princess Kate has shared a gorgeous throwback picture as part of her early childhood awareness campaign.

This week, the Princess of Wales’s Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood launched its Shaping Us campaign, which intends to increase public awareness of the significance of a child’s first five years of life. As part of a photo-sharing initiative, Kate shared an adorable pic from her own early years taken by her mother, Carole Middleton.

“Faces are a baby’s best toy,” she captioned the snap, in which baby Kate—who looks strikingly similar to Prince Louis when he was a baby—reaches out toward her father Michael Middleton’s face.

“On Tuesday, we launched #ShapingUs to raise awareness of the vital role our early years play in shaping the rest of our lives,” the caption continues. “This weekend, we’d love for you all to spend time with your friends, families, colleagues, and communities talking about your early childhoods and how they’ve shaped your lives.”

“I hope you’ll also consider joining me in sharing a picture of yourselves before your 5th birthday to help with those conversations and to share some smiles and memories too,” Kate wrote.

Social media also played an important role in the campaign’s kickoff, with the center opening a brand-new Instagram account as part of its efforts. On Wednesday, Princess Kate shared a rare video on the account featuring herself and several British celebrities who have been known to support her advocacy in early childhood development.

“You may not realize it, but our early childhood shapes everything from the way we form relationships to the way we cope with stress. Huge thanks to our Champions for spreading the message! #ShapingUs,” the caption reads.
