Taylor Swift’s Former Cornelia Street Rental Lists for $18 Million

Taylor Swift’s famous Cornelia Street apartment has resurfaced on the market for just under $18 million. The Manhattan abode and the street that hosts it were immortalized in a track from Swift’s 2019 album Lover. As the lyric goes, Swift rented a place on Cornelia Street—the song’s namesake—in 2016. But with her residency in the pre-war carriage house and the relationship she alludes to in the song both having come to pass, the home enters a new era, open to any potential buyers, or, for the commitment-averse, renters with $45,000 a month to spare.

Swift, who is in the midst of her record-breaking US tour, lived in the four-bedroom, seven-bathroom home while her $50 million Tribeca penthouse was under renovation. The Grammy winner paid $39,500 a month for the 5,500-square-foot townhouse, which boasts a 30-foot-long indoor pool. It also features a garage—an attractive selling point for any high-profile buyers who’d enjoy the privacy of driving right into the West Village home (as long as they don’t mind having to shoo away a few Swifties in the process).

Through its arched front doors, the abode’s parlor level offers compact garage space and a guest suite. One staircase accesses the garden-level swimming pool below, plus a gym and a double-height lounge space with a gas fireplace and backyard access. A second staircase goes up to the second floor main living space, which comes complete with blonde hardwood parquet floors, beamed ceilings, and a wood-burning fireplace. Up a white marble staircase to the third floor, two bedrooms each enjoy a private terrace.
