It's October, Virgo. Are you ready for Halloween and a double dose of emotional eclipses? If you can keep your cool this month and communicate directly, you'll have an extra helping of romance served up by the stars. As September's horoscope reminded you, the tarot card associated with your sign is the hermit. It's okay if your super cozy bed is your favorite place on earth. However, you may need to talk about the politics of sleep once chatty Mercury enters relationship-oriented Libra on Wednesday, October 4. Many couples, and this could be you, have fabulous sex but suck at sleeping together. It's why the sleep divorce, or sleeping in separate beds while keeping the relationship strong, is so popular.

But whether you're planning sleep schedules with a significant other or confronting a roommate about their blaring alarm, when Venus, ruler of love and beauty, enters your sign, Virgo, on Sunday, October 8, there's not much to report when it comes to your relationships. But that's because of a very good reason. Things are going well. Remember to stop and notice the drama-free days as well as the stormy ones. Because there might be some turmoil later this month, and you'll best avoid it if you go into it feeling calm.

And while you're riding comfortably in your relationships with others, you're ready to level up the one you have with yourself once transformative Pluto ends its retrograde on Tuesday, October 10. This transit is a friendly nudge from Pluto, the ruler of the underworld, whispering to you, like a welcome devil on your shoulder, that you deserve to relax. Whether your poison is long baths, elaborate skincare routines, glamorous massage, or all of the above, drink up.

There are a few frustrating days this month, hence your star assignment to stay calm. There's no major warning, but when the fighter planet Mars enters possessive Scorpio on Wednesday, October 11, beware of jealousy. You may feel this from a romantic partner, who is hopefully just having an off day, or a petty coworker. Or, dear Virgo, there's a chance that even you could experience the green-eyed monster. Continuing to nurture yourself will help you handle it in whatever form it manifests.

And, speaking of frustrations, the first eclipse of the month, a new moon and solar eclipse in partnership-oriented Libra, comes on Saturday, October 14. Everyone has a different attachment style, and at times, ours doesn't mesh perfectly with those around us. However, that's no reason to throw out a relationship. Just know that this weekend may require extra patience. However, after all these warnings of worry, there's a big payoff. Juno, the asteroid of commitment, enters your sign, Virgo, on Tuesday, October 17. All that listening and patience pays off, as the cosmos scatter fairy dust on your relationships. This is a wonderful time for a night of crafting, or dancing with a friend, or a dinner date. Better yet, let someone cook for you.

When we think of commitment issues in any form of partnership, it's usually the cliche of someone running away at the first sign of intimacy. However, even if you're in a healthy relationship or think you're always doing the chasing rather than the running, know that fear of intimacy can take many forms. If you find yourself acting passive-aggressively towards your favorite person, especially around the time that talkative Mercury enters moody Scorpio on Saturday, October 21, double-check to make sure that this isn't your way of dealing with the increased intimacy brought by Juno.

Scorpio season officially starts on Monday, October 23. Have you picked out your Halloween costume yet? If not, at least check out these haunting makeup looks, Virgo. Your Scorpio season assignment is to enjoy a little bit of gossip as a treat. There's no harm in spilling tea as long as it's harmless. In fact, for a long time, gossip wasn't seen as something negative but as a way to covertly pass along information. At the risk of sounding like a party pooper due to the cosmic anxiety and potential for drama, the full moon and lunar eclipse in Taurus on Saturday, October 28, bring, if you decide to spend Halloweekend enjoying frivolity with your friends at home rather than at a rager, you'll avoid drama but make memories other people will want to gossip about. Enjoy, and see you next month.
