Kilmore, 51, joined Incubus for the 1998 “S.C.I.E.N.C.E.” tour. After that, they jumped into the studio to record “Make Yourself,” which produced several hits, including the band’s highest-charting song, “Drive.”
Incubus followed that success with more albums, including the studio releases “Morning View” (2001), “A Crow Left of the Murder…” (2004), “Light Grenades” (2006), “If Not Now, When?” (2011), and “8” (2017).
Last year, the band returned to the studio for “Morning View XXIII,” a re-recording of the 2001 album with Nicole Row, the band’s new bass player. The album will drop on May 10. But first, Incubus will play the main stage on May 4 at the BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach. General admission tickets start at $179 for one day.
