The second weekend in April has brought drier, warmer conditions to the Seattle area as the region prepares to see its first 8 p.m. sunset of the year Monday.

Morning clouds dissipated and the sun emerged Saturday as temperatures reached toward 60 degrees, and Sunday is expected to be slightly nicer, and slightly warmer, with a high forecast in the low 60s, according to the National Weather Service in Seattle.

Meteorologist Jacob DeFlitch said a weather system is set to move into the area on Monday, bringing some rain and lower temperatures.

“During that time, we’ll see some light rain around the Seattle area,” DeFlitch said. “Doesn’t want to be anything overly heavy at the moment.”

Monday’s forecast includes a chance of rain after 11 a.m., with a high in the mid-50s.
