Pistons vs. Spurs GameThread: Game Time, TV, Odds, and More

No Victor, No Cade, No Duren, and a whole bunch of Pistons org members who might be in their final game

Victor Wembanyama is out. Cade Cunningham is out. Jalen Duren is out. There isn’t much reason to watch the Detroit Pistons in their afternoon season finale against the San Antonio Spurs. The largest bit of intrigue is to consider what might happen after the buzzer sounds and the season is officially over. Sure, this is likely the final game for Evan Fournier, Malachi Flynn, Troy Brown, who are all trade deadline additions who can be free agents after this season. But is it also the final game for any of Detroit’s core players? Is this the last game for Jaden Ivey? Have we already seen the final time Jalen Duren or Isaiah Stewart will be in a Pistons uniform? What about the folks on the sidelines and in the executive suite? Will Monty Williams and his entire coaching staff return? What about Troy Weaver, who has built teams that have now been the worst in the NBA for two straight seasons?

The only person who feels safe is Cade Cunningham. Not a great place to be, and I am personally extremely thankful this season is over. It was the worst season to cover since I started doing this in 2009. It was depressing, angering, and felt so incredibly futile. But we’re here. We’ve made it to the end. Hopefully next season is nothing like this in any respect.
