KCET 2024 exam begins tomorrow; admit card link, marking scheme and important guidelines here

The Karnataka Examination Authority is set to commence the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2024) on April 18. Candidates preparing for the undergraduate Common Entrance Test can access their admit cards, review the marking scheme, and familiarize themselves with important exam day guidelines. Scheduled for April 18 and 19, 2024, in two shifts, the exam will follow a marking scheme awarding one mark per correct answer, with no penalties for wrong attempts.

The Karnataka Examination Authority will begin the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2024) tomorrow, on April 18. Candidates who are going to appear in the Common Entrance Test for Undergraduate can heck the admit card, marking scheme and important exam day guidelines here.
As per the schedule, the KCET 2024 will be held on April 18 and 19, 2024 in two shifts - from 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM and 2:30 PM to 3:50 PM.
The examination authority has already issued the admit card for the registered candidates. The admission process for UGNEET candidates will commence only after declaration of NEET 2024 results.

How to download KCET Admit Card 2024?


Step 1. Visit the KCET UGCET official website at kea.kar.nic.in.
Step 2. On the homepage, click on the direct link to download KCET hall ticket.
Step 3. You will be redirected to a new page, enter the application number and first five letters of name in the required fields.
Step 4. The admit card will be displayed on the screen
Step 5. Download and take a printout of the result for future reference

This year, a total of 327,384 candidates are registered to take the KCET 2024 exam according to official statistics. As of April 11, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) reported that 50,889 candidates had not yet downloaded their KCET admit card for 2024.

Marking Scheme


KCET 2024 awards one mark per correct answer, with no penalty for wrong attempts.

Exam Day Instructions


  • Carry your admit card on the date of the examination.
  • Reach the exam center at least 15-20 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.
  • Get familiar with the exam venue and locate your exam hall beforehand.
  • Dress appropriately in a comfortable outfit that allows for frisking. Avoid wearing heavy jewelry or clothing with large buttons or pockets.
  • Maintain silence inside the exam hall.
  • Do not bring any electronic or banned items inside the examination hall.

KCET 2023 Highlights


The KCET 2023 results were announced last year by Karnataka's Minister of Higher Education, MC Sudhakar. A total of 2,61,610 candidates had registered for the exam, with 2,44,345 appearing for the test. Vignesh Nataraj Kumar from Bengaluru emerged as the topper with a score of 97.8%. Arjun Krishnaswamy from Bengaluru and Samrudh Shetty from Dharwad followed closely behind securing 97.5% and 97.1% marks respectively.
