Rant and Rave: Reader upset over SUVs in compact spaces

RANT to those who park their bloated SUVs in the spaces at the Everett Clinic that are clearly marked “COMPACT.” Several spaces were left unusable for even authentic compact cars, where the bulging bodies of large-footprint vehicles on either side of a COMPACT space intruded across the lines. I can’t fathom all the motivations that go into one owning such vehicles, but I do know their inconsiderate actions motivate me to ponder many a passive-aggressive response.

RAVE to a neighbor’s simple yard sign that says, “Don’t Give Up.” And a newer sign with huge, colorful, handmade letters spelling out “HOPE” on their window. Your encouraging words have buoyed my spirit every time I pass by. It warms my heart and even though I don’t know you, I wanted to thank you for your thoughtful care. Your kindness is so appreciated, and the world can certainly use more of that!
