LAST TIME OUT
Florida notched its 11th comeback win this season with a 6-2 victory over Vanderbilt on Saturday, improving to 148-81-1 all-time against the Commodores. Third baseman
Tyler Shelnut had a standout game, posting five RBI with a home run and a double. Left-hander pitcher/designated hitter
Jac Caglianone threw five innings, allowing only two runs and improving his perfect record on the mound to 5-0. Right-hander
Fisher Jameson brought the Gators through the finish line, striking out six and only giving up one hit across 3 1/3 scoreless innings.Â
SCOUTING THE HATTERS
Stetson travels to Gainesville on Tuesday holding a 26-14 record this season, including a 12-6 mark in Atlantic Sun Conference play. The Hatters are slashing .252/.397/.449, with the team producing 39 homers and holding a 4.75 ERA on the mound backed by 326 strikeouts over 339 innings. Stetson has posted a .971 fielding percentage over 1,394 chances.Â
RELENTLESS REPTILES
Florida boasts 11 come-from-behind wins on the season, with all eight of the team's SEC victories occurring in comeback fashion. The Gators wield three walk-off victories already this year.
COMFY AT CONDRON
Florida is 50-16 at home since the start of last season despite a 14-9 record at Condron Family Ballpark in 2024. After losing its first home series since April of 2022 to South Carolina two weekends back, the Gators have claimed 15 of their last 16 three-game, regular-season series at Condron Family Ballpark dating back to the 2022 season.Â
DINGERS, GEMS &Â WHIFFS APLENTY
Florida is tied for seventh among the top-15 teams nationally in home runs (83), while ranking eighth in fielding percentage (.981) and 12th in strikeouts per nine innings (10.8). The Gators rank fourth in the SEC in home runs while coming in at 12th in the country and fourth in the SEC in K/9. Florida also leads the SEC in hit-by-pitches with 80.
GOING STREAKING
The longest active on-base streak on the team belongs to Caglianone at 25 games, who also paces Florida with a 18-game hitting streak. Caglianone is ranked second for hits and home runs in the SEC at 63 and 23, respectively.
HEART OF THE ORDER
Florida has four qualified hitters with an OPS above 1.000 in Caglianone (1.349), outfielderÂ
Ty Evans (1.031), shortstopÂ
Colby Shelton (1.004) and Shelnut (1.000). Each member of the quartet has at least nine home runs and is slugging over .590 while combining for 59 of the Gators' 83 big flies so far this season.
HEATING UP
The Florida offense has rediscovered its stroke over the last six games, slashing .300/.391/.557 and scoring 44 runs on 61 hits. Digging deeper, the Gators have totaled 41 runs on 55 hits in their last 44 offensive innings dating back to the seventh inning of game two against South Carolina on April 13.
FISHER REELS IT IN
Jameson strung together a pair of scoreless appearances at No. 13 Vanderbilt over the weekend. He combined for  3 2/3 shutout frames and allowed just one base hit, walking zero and striking out seven. In seven SEC appearances this season, Jameson owns a 1.86 ERA, .147 batting average against and 12 strikeouts against three walks over  9 2/3 conference frames.
McDEALIN' IN THE SEC
After struggling out of the gates with a 19.89 ERA through his first four collegiate appearances, freshman righty
Luke McNeillie has dominated in SEC play to the tune of a 3.45 ERA, .241 batting average against and 19 strikeouts against six walks in 15 2/3 conference frames. At 2-2, he is tied for the team lead in SEC victories while making a team-high nine appearances in league play. As a result, he has lowered his ERA all the way to 7.52 on the year. Since March 15, McNeillie has posted a 3.00 ERA, .217 BAA and 25-to-7 K-to-BB in 18 combined non-con and SEC innings.
SHELLY CELLY
Shelnut is on a tear at the dish, notching four home runs across Florida's last four games. The Lake City, Fla. native was instrumental in the team's Saturday victory over Vanderbilt, knocking a three-run homer in the fifth as well as swatting a two-run double to give the Gators insurance. The hits saw Shelnut make moves with career highs, securing his 12th home run and tying his single-game RBI record with five.Â
THE CAGLIANONE FILE
Caglianone tied an all-time NCAA record on Friday by homering for the ninth-straight game before the streak came to an end in the series finale at Vanderbilt. He now ranks second nationally with 23 long balls on the season and leads the Gators in virtually every offensive statistic. The two-way standout is slashing .401/.495/.854 with 47 runs, 46 RBI and a 1.349 OPS while pitching to a 5-0 record and 3.86 ERA on the hill.
