A King County Superior Court judge set bail at $5 million on Monday for a man accused of randomly stabbing another person to death inside the Muckleshoot Casino Resort.

The judge found there is probable cause Ricky Josh Fuentes committed first-degree murder, a spokesperson for the King County Prosecutor’s Office said in an email.

Prosecutors plan to decide whether to rush-file charges against Fuentes by Wednesday afternoon.

Police responded to the casino, located at 2402 Auburn Way S. in Auburn, around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, according to a police report filed in court. A man was lying on the casino floor with a cut on his neck. A bloody box cutter was found nearby.

Medics weren’t able to save the man and he died at the scene, police wrote.

Fuentes told police he took a bus to the casino with the intent to kill an “associate,” but decided to kill someone else when he couldn’t find his original target. He said he saw the victim “being a bully” at a craps table and decided to stab him instead, according to court papers.

Police say the attack was captured on security footage, and that there didn’t appear to be any fight between Fuentes and the victim.
