The 18th Lok Sabha elections began on April 19 in 21 states and Union territories, witnessing a turnout of approximately 64% among eligible voters. This electoral engagement spanned regions like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jammu and Kashmir, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry.
Maharashtra has 48 seats in the Lok Sabha, making it the second-biggest contributor to Parliament after Uttar Pradesh.
The Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra will happen in five stages on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, and May 20, with the votes being counted on June 4.
