Heading into the weekend Colorado Avalanche goaltender Pavel Francouz decided to make it official that he has decided to retire from the sport of hockey. Earlier this spring Colorado GM Chris MacFarland let it slip that Frankie was enjoying retirement and not working towards a comeback but the question still remained.

Now that it’s official we can reflect on what a great career he had both overseas and three years with the Avalanche including a big helping hand in winning the Stanley Cup. Cheers Frankie!
