4-year-old girl, father shot in Northeast Washington, police say

A 4-year-old girl and her father were shot and wounded Tuesday night outside an apartment complex in the Fort Totten area of Northeast Washington, according to D.C. police.

Authorities said the injuries to both victims did not appear to be life-threatening. Police said both were conscious when taken to a hospital.
