Mid-flight incident: Mysterious liquid leaks from Spirit Airlines bathroom, passengers shocked

NEW DELHI: A mysterious liquid, originating from one of the lavatories streaming down the aisle of a New Jersey-bound Spirit Airlines flight surprised the onboard passengers.
Video footage depicts passengers in disbelief as they witness the fluid flow during this week's flight, with some capturing the unexpected event on their phones while others react with laughter, USA Today reported.
Some of the passengers whipped out their phones to take their own footage of the wet mess, which began as the plane was beginning to touch down in Newark.
According to a spokesperson from Spirit Airlines, the incident occurred on Monday aboard Spirit Airlines flight 1595.
The flight departed Atlanta Hartfield Jackson International Airport shortly after 3 pm on Monday and arrived at Newark Liberty International Airport at 5:18 pm, as reported by Flight Aware, an online service tracking flight trajectories.
Upon landing in Newark, a maintenance team attended to the flight due to "an issue with a potable water line connected to a sink in the rear lavatory," explained a spokesperson from Spirit Airlines in an email to USA TODAY.
The problem was promptly resolved, and the aircraft was given clearance to proceed with its subsequent flight.
