California fast-food chain In-N-Out has proposed a second restaurant in Clark County — this one in east Vancouver, according to preplanning documents submitted to the city.

A vacant Rite Aid building is expected to be demolished to make way for a development if the restaurant’s planning application is approved.

In-N-Out has proposed a 3,860-square-foot building with 84 indoor seats, as well as a 30-car drive-thru lane and 74 parking stalls.

The proposal includes plans for a stucco building with patio seating, open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

The restaurant expects to have 10 to 15 employees working each shift, with three shifts per day.

The proposal is the second in the county. In-N-Out, which has about 400 locations around the Western U.S., proposed a location in Ridgefield in February.

The company touted the Ridgefield location as the first proposed restaurant in Washington. The closest location to Clark County is in Keizer, Oregon (near Salem). although Washington County last week approved a land-use application for a location in the Portland suburb of Beaverton.
