The Q6 isn’t known for top-tier gaming specs and ultra-deep black levels, but it offers a lot of TV for just $450.

Here at The Verge, we spend a lot of time reporting on pristine, high-end TV sets — including the latest panels from Sony, LG, and Samsung. That said, not everyone is in the market for a picture-perfect OLED panel or one purpose-built to reduce glare. Thankfully, TCL’s 65-inch Q6 QLED is a more economical option, one you can grab at Amazon and Best Buy today for $449.99 ($250 off), its lowest price to date.

Despite being TCL’s entry-level Q Class panel, the Q6 offers a lot for its budget-friendly price tag. The quantum dot-enabled 4K panel is bright and color-accurate, with solid black levels and vivid color that should shine no matter what you’re watching. It features Google’s terrific TV interface and built-in Chromecast functionality as well, allowing you to peruse streaming recommendations from your favorite services and cast content from your phone or laptop over Wi-Fi. It certainly isn’t the most gamer-friendly set TCL offers — that would be the step-up Q7 or Q8 — though it does include what TCL calls “Game Accelerator 120,” which pushes the refresh rate to 120Hz while halving the vertical resolution to 1080p. Sure, it’s not native 120Hz, but you’d be hard-pressed to find smoother performance in a 65-inch panel for about $450.

$450

TCL’s midrange Q6 leverages quantum dot technology for rich color and contrast. It also offers support for every major HDR format, built-in Chromecast functionality, and the ability to upscale 1080p content to 120Hz while gaming.

On Monday, my colleague Sheena Vasani plugged an ongoing deal on Anker’s versatile 8-in-1 charging station, which offers a bevy of ports meant to accommodate lamps, monitors, and all sorts of electronics. The orb-shaped Qi2 charger makes for a great desk accessory, but like most power strips, it’s not all that useful when you step away from your desk and into the wild. Fortunately, Anker’s 522 Portable Power Station is on sale at Best Buy today for $199 ($70 off), matching its lowest price to date.

For the past six months or so, Anker’s boxy power station has been my go-to charger for camping, BBQs, and other outdoor activities where a 10,000mAh battery pack simply won’t cut it. Like other Anker models, the 522 features an integrated LED light bar and display, which lets you see the remaining battery capacity, input / output power, and other useful info at a glance. The big selling point, however, is the battery’s 299Wh capacity, as well as a vast array of charging ports that let you top off your phone, laptop, tablet, drone, or really any other piece of tech you have on hand (including small appliances). This includes a car outlet and a USB-A port along with a pair of AC and USB-C ports for charging up to six devices.

$199

The Anker 522 power station is a beefy battery that can provide up to 299Wh of juice spread across a variety of ports when you’re away from a reliable source of power.

  • Sony is offering up to 75 percent off select digital titles through Wednesday, May 8th, as part of its May Savings event. The ongoing promo extends to both new and older titles, including last year’s excellent Resident Evil 4 remake (now $19.99) and Final Fantasy XVI (now $34.99). As someone who’s fiendishly ripping through the latter, I can tell you it’s probably the bloodiest, most mature Final Fantasy game since Tactics launched nearly three decades ago. The influence of Game of Thrones still looms large, apparently.
  • The Googleification of Fitbit continues, but that’s not to say Fitbits don’t have their place in Google alongside devices like the Pixel Watch 2. The Fitbit Versa 4 — which is currently on sale at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target for $149.95 ($50 off) — is a good case in point. It’s a solid fitness tracker that resembles a smartwatch and packs a vibrant 1.5-inch OLED display, built-in GPS tracking, 40 exercise modes, and up to six days of battery life.
  • Moment is holding its Annual Spring Sale through 5PM ET on April 26th, offering you a chance to score discounts on a host of bags, cases, and other handy camera accessories. I’ve long been a fan of the company’s smartphone lenses — including the 18mm wide lens, 58mm telephoto lens, and 10x macro lens — all three of which are on sale for $99. These are the last-gen M-Series models, but they still offer an easy way to upgrade your iPhone or Android device with some custom glass, much like the newer T-Series lenses.
  • The Lenovo Legion Go is on sale at Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Photo starting at $629.99 ($70 off), matching its all-time low. The speedy, kickstand-equipped Steam Deck alternative is pretty much the only Windows gaming handheld we recommend at the moment, mostly because it features a large 8.8-inch 144Hz display and a pair of detachable controllers that make using it as an ad hoc Windows tablet a bit less cumbersome.
