Rant and Rave: Reader wants charities to mind their mailing lists

RANT AND RAVE Rant to charities that constantly tell you it’s time to renew your giving, even though you did so in January in response to the first letter. Another rant to charities that refuse to believe people die. I’ve notified one charity (count ’em) 19 times that Dad died a year ago, but he still gets “gimme” notices. My wife’s late husband, gone seven years, gets them too! Rave to those who keep their mailing lists current.

RANT to all who drop garbage on Highway 518 and the Sea-Tac Airport entry road. Rant to the Transportation Department for not cleaning it up. What an embarrassment as this is what arriving visitors see first. Shame on the state.

RAVE to the Kent police who responded quickly when we reported an abandoned truck in our neighborhood. We called the nonemergency number and had it towed away.
