Opeth Announces North American Tour
Swedish prog metal legends Opeth will return to North America this October for a tour. The band, anchored by the mighty Martin Méndez, will start in Wisconsin before crossing into Canada to hit Toronto and Montreal. They’ll then head down the East Coast and across the South to wind up on the West Coast. The final date is scheduled for Halloween in San Francisco, California, at the Warfield.
Rumors have been swirling about Opeth’s upcoming fourteenth studio album. The latest news is that Jethro Tull frontman Ian Anderson has contributed flute to a handful of songs. Opeth’s latest album, In Cauda Venenum, came out five years ago.
In other news, Méndez revealed the third album from his band White Stones will be coming in June. More details on that here.
