NFL Rumors: Giants, Vikings' Trade Offers for Patriots' No. 3 Draft Pick Revealed

The New England Patriots reportedly received lofty offers from the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants for their No. 3 pick in the NFL draft.
Per Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, the Vikings offered both of their first-round picks plus a 2025 first-round pick, while the Giants offered their 2025 first-round pick.
"The Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants did make offers to the New England Patriots for the No. 3 pick to take Drake Maye," Breer wrote. "Earlier this week, Minnesota offered the Nos. 11 and 23 picks, and its 2025 first-rounder, with pick swaps favoring the Vikings as part of the proposal; and that offer ticked up with New England on the clock. The Giants, meanwhile, did wind up putting their 2025 first-round pick in their offer to move from No. 6 to No. 3."
New England declined both offers and kept its original pick, which it used to select North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye.
While the Vikings were unsuccessful in trading all the way up to No. 3, they managed to move up one spot to No. 10. Minnesota traded its No. 11 pick, a fourth-round pick (No. 129) and a fifth-round pick (No. 157) in exchange for the New York Jets' No. 10 and a seventh-round selection (No. 203).
The Vikings used the No. 10 pick to draft Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy, who they hope will be the next franchise quarterback after Kirk Cousins departed in free agency.
The Giants were likely looking to land a quarterback by trading up, but they stayed at No. 6 to draft LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers. With top quarterbacks Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Maye going within the first three picks, New York decided to go the receiver route.
McCarthy, Michael Penix Jr. and Bo Nix were all still available at No. 6, but it seems the Giants are content with sticking with Daniel Jones under center this season.
The Vikings and Giants each have five picks remaining in the draft. New York has a second- and third-round pick on Friday while Minnesota won't draft again until Saturday in the fourth round.
