A Virginia man was found guilty Wednesday in a 2022 car crash that killed two teens walking home from Oakton High School, Fairfax County authorities said.

Usman Shahid, 20, was convicted on two counts of manslaughter in the June 7, 2022, deaths of Ada Gabriela Martinez Nolasco, 14, and Leeyan Hanjia Yan, 15, who were both students at Oakton. A jury in Fairfax County Circuit Court also sentenced Shahid on Friday to four years behind bars, though the sentence will be finalized by a judge later this year.
