JT Drops New Single ‘Okay’ From Debut Mixtape ‘City Cinderella’

Following

City Girls rapper JT has been busy laying the groundwork for her first solo project. She released her debut solo single “No Bars” last year, and she’s turned up the heat in recent months with “Sideways” and the Doechii collab “Alter Ego.”

Now, JT is back with a new solo single “Okay,” the latest taste of her debut mixtape City Cinderella. And though the rapper lives on the West Coast, the song would fit in well in her Miami home. “I'm pretty than a motherf**ker, h*es be lookin' okay / She think that she f**kin' with me, is this b***h okay?” she raps on the track. “He said he ain't f**kin' 'round, I look at him like, ‘Okay’ / I used to be down bad, but now a b***h okay.”

Details around City Cinderella’s release remain light. When speaking about her debut solo project last year in Interview magazine, JT declared she was focused and ready for the next step in her career.

“I know I can crush and I know I can dominate if I sort things out right,” she said. “We have it so good in the industry that nothing can stop us from making it if we just apply ourselves. It’s no label exec; we don’t have tryouts to be rappers no more. So it’s like, why not?”

“I want everything to be perfect,” she concluded. “This time I’m going to be presented by myself, so I really want it to look like everything.”
