'Crazy': Travis Clayton, former rugby player, selected in NFL draft – video

The 6ft7in athlete, who played in the eighth tier of English rugby for hometown club Basingstoke, has been picked by Buffalo Bills from the NFL’s international player pathway programme as an offensive lineman. Clayton was selected with the 221st overall pick in the seventh round despite having never played a game in the sport but recorded his 40-yard dash in 4.79sec during the draft combine, which the Bills said was faster than all offensive lineman have recorded over the past 10 years.
