Rant and Rave: Reader has message for hotel breakfast diners

RANT AND RAVE Rant to guests who take advantage of free breakfast at hotels but leave their items on the table and just walk away. This isn’t Denny’s, you know? Rave to guests who realize others will be coming behind them and would like a clean table.

RANT to neighbors who don’t actively use their driveway — which is fine — but refuse to block their driveway when parking their car on the street, effectively taking up more street parking than necessary.

RAVE to Seattle Parking Enforcement. An officer came to my home, knocked on the door and told me very apologetically that one of our cars was parked halfway across town blocking a utility vehicle (even though it was a legal parking place). He asked me to have the vehicle moved so it would not have to be towed. So kind, polite and unexpected!
