Cowboy couture is taking the fashion world by storm, from Beyoncé’s incredible Cowboy Carter fits to Bella Hadid’s ranch-core posts. Now, Jodie Turner-Smith is just the latest celebrity to be swept up in the trend’s gust like a tumbleweed.
At the Ralph Lauren Fall/Winter 2024 ready-to-wear show Monday night in New York City, the actor and model was seen wearing a cool golden look that gave the cowboy trend a boho twist.
For the event, the Queen & Slim star wore a crochet poncho dress that looked like it had been brushed with flakes of gold foil. The piece was constructed of intricate, see-through mesh and long strands of fringe that swayed as Jodie walked. Underneath the sheer metallic top layer, the star wore a bedazzled gray bodysuit with small swirls of multicolored sequins.
To really sell the overall western aesthetic, Jodie donned a wide-brim brown cowboy hat, as well as tan Sonora cowboy boots with chocolate detailing on the toes. Finally, she kept the golden theme going with her large, doughnutlike golden bangles and matte fold-over clutch, as well as with her rings and a pair of hammered metal earrings that looked like blades of grass hanging from her earlobes.
Jodie's ranch-ready fit certainly coordinated with the vibe of the entire Ralph Lauren show. Models like Christy Turlington Burns and Anok Yai walked the runway (where the ground looked like a sandy desert floor), where they sported all kinds of western-themed ensembles, from cowboy hats and fringe bags to chainmail bandannas and suede blazers.
