UW men learn their home and away opponents for first season in Big Ten

Washington Huskies men’s basketball fans will have to wait at least another year before UW hosts iconic Big Ten teams Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State.

In its inaugural season in the league, Washington will play Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue and Rutgers at Alaska Airlines Arena, the Huskies learned Wednesday as the Big Ten schedule was released.

The Huskies’ 2024-25 road conference schedule includes Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, and Wisconsin.

In addition, UW plays home and away games against former Pac-12 rivals Oregon, UCLA and USC who are also moving to the newly comprised 18-team Big Ten next season.

Big Ten teams will play 20 conference games. Dates, times, and television information will be announced at a later time.

Washington and Oregon have identical conference foes while USC and UCLA also play the same opponents.
