With Heat ousted from playoffs, it’s hard not to wonder how Damian Lillard trade would’ve changed their season

The Bucks have submitted their first injury report for Game 6 on Thursday.
Doubtful
Giannis Antetokounmpo (left soleus strain)
Damian Lillard (right Achilles tendinitis)
Probable
Patrick Beverley (right oblique muscle strain)
Khris Middleton (right ankle sprain) – 5:32 PM

That might have been the most remarkable game in Bucks history. And that isn’t hyperbole.
Nobody, and I mean nobody, on the planet expected the severely undermanned Bucks to beat the Pacers without Antetokounmpo and Lillard.
Truly an epic performance by the Bucks. – 2:34 PM

Wild, but true:
With Giannis and Damian Lillard out, the Bucks become the first team EVER to win a playoff game without their top-2 scorers from the regular season. H/t @StatsWilliams – 12:06 AM

Brutal middle two quarters for the Pacers — with 17 and 19 points.
Outscored by 28.
And now trailing by 20 entering the 4Q.
We’ve seen it all season — this team struggles against lesser teams. And that’s what the Bucks are w/o Dame + Giannis. – 11:38 PM

Pacers had a 1st quarter 142.9 O-RTG in the half court. If they’re going to score that efficiently in the halfcourt its gonna be a taaaaaaaaaall hill for the Bucks to climb without Giannis and Dame – 10:08 PM

More on this storyline

Lillard, who has missed the past two games with an Achilles injury, shed the walking boot he was wearing over the weekend. He did some shooting on the court before Tuesday’s game, but Wednesday will be his first complete workout since he reaggravated the injury in Game 4, an issue he had been dealing with in the final weeks of the regular season. Antetokounmpo did not do much on the court Tuesday, according to Rivers. But on Sunday he ran on the court for the first time since he strained his left calf three weeks ago. He has not played since April 9. -via ESPN / May 1, 2024
