Real Madrid Legend Kroos Decides Future Announcement Time, Reports SER

Following

Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos has decided when he will make an announcement on his future according to SER, which cited anonymous sources.

The German dropped a masterclass in the stadium of his former club Bayern Munich this week.

With 96% passing accuracy and 98 touches, Kroos provided an excellent assist for Vinicius Jr. which put their side 1-0 ahead in an eventual 2-2 draw.

Post match in the mixed zone, the 34-year-old was once more asked about his future given that his contract expires on June 30.

"I haven't decided," he insisted to gathered journalists, amid playing down the quality of his pass to Brazilian teammate Vinicius, who pipped him to the Champions League semi final first leg's MVP award.

According to SER, however, that claim wasn't accurate. Kroos already knows that he will continue in the Spanish capital, as do the club and his colleagues in the Bernabeu locker room.

The same outlet reveals that Kroos will make an announcement on the matter after the return leg against Bayern next Wednesday, irrespective of whether Madrid makes it to a Wembley final on June 1 where it would have the chance to win a record 15th UCL crown against either Paris Saint-Germain or Borussia Dortmund.

Members of Kroos' family have also made it publicly clear that they would like him to continue with the La Liga giants.

"What I want is [for him] to have a good summer holiday, do good training camps and start the last season [of his career] at Madrid," his mother Brigit Kroos said earlier this year, on the pocast her sons Toni and Felix regularly host.

"That would make your coach, your teammates happy and I think [Kroos' son] Leon and many others as well. But in the end you have to be happy, so it's up to you. You decide what you want and we'll accept it, that's all," Brigit Kroos concluded.

Tying in with club policy on players of a certain age, Kroos is likely to pen a one-year extension with president Florentino Perez ahead of representing Germany at the European Championships set to be held in his homeland this summer.
