'Are scores of women quitting the pill'?

A roundup of the headlines from the US front pages

Friday's front pages cover Ukraine's tough but stabilizing battle with Russian invaders in northern Kharkiv, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's (R) controversial murder pardon, the court battle between Donald Trump's former fixer and current criminal defense lawyer, and the Supreme Court's upholding of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The New York Times reports that one of the two dissenting justices in that case, Samuel Alito, had "a 'Stop the Steal' symbol" flying outside his house "while justices mulled 2020 election case." Lower on the page, the Times asks: "Are scores of women quitting the pill, as social media suggests?" — then suggests no, "contrary to anecdotal reports, usage is up."

The Boston Globe celebrates "the right to celebrate" on the 20th anniversary of same-sex marriage becoming legal in the state.
