NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the NEET UG 2024 on May 5. Candidates who have successfully registered for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2024 must be immersed in the last-minute preparations for the medical entrance examination as only 2 days are left for the exam, but it is essential for them to be aware some guidelines and instructions given by the NTA.
The NTA follows NEET dress code for male and female candidates that every student who is appearing for the NEET UG exam needs to follow at the exam centre.

Failing to do so, the candidates will not be permitted to sit in the examination hall. This year, more than 24 lakh candidates are set to appear for the NEET 2024 exam.

NEET Dress Code 2024 for Male Candidates

Half-sleeved shirts and t-shirts are the only acceptable attire for male candidates.
Male candidates are permitted to wear plain pants or trousers equipped with pockets.
Attire for male candidates should not include bulky garments featuring zip pockets, large buttons, sequins, or embroideries.
Male candidates are advised to opt for light and uncomplicated clothing.

NEET Dress Code 2024 for Female Candidates

Female candidates are prohibited from wearing brooches, flowers, badges, or jeans.
Ornamental accessories such as earrings, nose rings, pendants, necklaces, etc., are strongly discouraged for female candidates in the examination hall.
Female candidates may opt for light-coloured denim pants and half-sleeve t-shirts; however, the buttons on the shirts should be of medium size.
Kurtis are not permitted attire for female candidates during the examination.
Leggings and palazzos are not permitted for female candidates in NEET 2024.

The NTA stated that candidates wearing items or objects of faith - be it customary, cultural, or religious - must arrive at the examination center by 12:30 pm. This ensures ample time for thorough frisking without causing inconvenience to the candidates, while also upholding the sanctity of the examination process.

NEET 2024: Important Things to Carry to Exam Centre

Admission to the NEET 2024 exam center will strictly require the possession of the NEET UG admit card; entrance will be denied without it.
It is necessary to bring a valid photo ID card for entry into the examination hall; failure to do so will result in denial of entry.
Candidates must carry a passport-size photograph of themselves as part of the required documentation.
