Much of north and east Kitsap County had their Comcast internet shut off Friday due to what the company said was “suspected vandalism” damaging its cable lines.

The company restored all service by Friday evening.

Comcast spokesperson Jack Follman in an email said the affected cities and towns included Bainbridge Island, Hansville, Indianola, Kingston, Poulsbo, Silverdale and Suquamish.

Washington State Ferries on Friday morning also issued a bulletin noting “an unplanned network issue” at its Kingston and Bainbridge terminals affecting their ticketing systems.
